Matthew 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)

Recognizing the authority of Jesus Christ over our lives and ministry (18), His personal presence with those engaged in His work (20b), and the ultimate end of this present dispensation (20c), Faith Baptist Church of Warren will evangelize the lost (19a), will through baptism lead believers to identify publicly with Christ and His church (19b), will educate its members through Bible teaching, and will encourage the faithful practice of Bible principles by all of its members in service to Christ (20a).

There are certain additional principles that will guide in the fulfilling of our mission:

A. Concering Evangelism:
(1.) Winning a soul is of immediate importance in ministry (Luke 15:4-5). (2.) Faithfulness of our workers will be rewarded and God will be praised for the fruitfulness of our work (1 Corinthians 4:2; 3:6-7).

B. Concerning Membership:
(1.) People are more important than programs or property (Mark 8:36). (2.) The priority of our ministry is the local church (Matthew 16:18;18:17).

C. Concerning Ministry:
(1.) Success will be measured by sort and not size (1 Corinthians 3:13). (2.) More time should be invested with faithful people who are capable of winning and training others, than with those who are not faithful (Mark 3:14; 2 Timothy 2:2) (3.) Training and/or enlisting a worker is preferred over doing a job or performing a ministry yourself (Ephesians 4:11-12).

D. Concerning Material Things:
(1.) Spiritual needs take precedence over physical or material needs (1 Timothy 4:8). (2.) Teaching a man how to honor God and follow His will is a priority over paying his bills for him or visiting him in the hospital (Matthew 4:4). (3.) Families must provide for their own (1 Timothy 5:8-10).
